Annual advent coffee with my grandfather

Talking with wy grandfather is a fun thing. When I came to pick him and his girlfriend up he took one look at the car and said "The car huh.. oh well, I was hoping for the Harley". He´s a funny guy.

Being 80 years old he's got a lot to tell. If you get him to talk about his life that is, he's not as fascinated about that as I am. He's also probably the only one thats, for some reason, truly proud of me so I wasnt going to show him my tattoo just yet. Didnt think he like it at all. Thought I ease that news in slowly mixed up in some conversation. Torkel my mother boyfriend thought differently (he's not getting any xmas presents). My grandfather looked a bit worried at me and asked to see the tattoo. He looked at it and let out a sigh of relief and said 'well thats a nice tattoo Issan, its not a Frölunda logo' follow by a big big smile. Frölunda is the hockeyteam I support, my grandfather supports another team hence his relief

Time for bed so the kids pulls the oldest tricks in the book by trying to distract me with showing some interest in what Im doing which is listening to music. With a very serious face Joppan declares that Sweet emotions by Aerosmith is her favorite song in the world and then the dance is on in full speed

I absolutely loved Eurythmics growing up. Got every record they made (including the first not so very good one) This is one of my favorite songs (It´s this and Here comes the rain again). It´s getting a bit cold so I guess this will be the last one. Took one pic like this, this summer and Torkel tried to snap this in the same spot but thats not an easy thing to do when neither of us remebered exactly how that pic looked like. From iron junk he makes really great sculptures and manages to keep the shape of the original junk. Its hard to explane you have to see it. I liked two sculptures more than the rest, of course its two thats among his private collection. Doesnt really matter though the prize is way way way out of my league. It was fun to have met him, he welcomed up with open arms, humor and lev up see the piece hes currently working on

I love this town and me, my friends always have a greate time here. We just checked in at the hotel to drop our bags of. 5 min later Linda sat down on her bed and it broke. Its always something and its just lots lots of laughs

Stockholm - Sergels torg

In Stockholm for workstuff but I got the afternoon free for some sightseeing. I havnt been here much and this is nothing like home its about 1,8 millions living here, at home its about 39 000. I had a fun shoping run in the city found some real nice stores and wishes that I had lot more money than I do. Sergels torg is kind of smack in the middle and well its Sergels torg. I ran around for a couple of hours and all the time a dude was sitting in the middle of the square meditating... Hes not alone the whole place is filled with weird people

As long as I can remember this song has been a part of my life. One of Doddos favorites and this one has rubbed of on me. I love the voice especially during the guitar solo, that gives me goose bumps no matter how many times I hear it. And I like the lyrics. 80s birthday

Grandpa and his girlfriend since I about when was born. Grandpa is rocking tonight. He and I made plans to go fishing lobster next year (illegal of course) in my aunts rubberboat and of course we're taking my Harley :-) grandpa is my kind of guy he's the only one that makes me feel like Im not found on the stairs. I absolutely love him with all my heart. And as he said to day "well I have to say that 80 is kind of a respectable age come to think of it, but I dont feel that old"

Last night

Leaving Harrys on our way to "Källaren Laxen" (its a very nice and cosy restaurant)for a bit to eat, we came across this sight... someone put 2 bottle of washing-up liquid in the fountain and this is the result... tsk tsk it´s supposed to be bubbles all over the place, guess wasing-up liquid doesnt hold the same quality now as when I was a kid.

Anyways not much is going on, I´m a bit tired.. nah alot tired I guess but happy none the less. Counting the days for my weekend with friends in Copenhagen. Right now I´m off to celebrate my grandfathers 80s birthday

A breake

Special effects in the dishes

Today I worked at Harrys again taking care of the dishes tonight. New experience this night was having a glas completely explode in my hand as I was moving it from my tray into the dishwasher bin and with a loud "poff" too. Sometimes tension build up in a glas and when it goes it goes very sudden and without waring. I just laughed, Sara laughed and then said "dont touch your hands, I´ll flush them with water". My hands was covered in smal sharp pieces of glas. I thought "yeah yeah big deal" now I´m not feeling the same though. I´m wining like a smal kid. I´m trying to get some pieces that stuck despite the flushing with water out of my hands and fingers.

THIS most definetly is Club Herman. The people I spent time with those years kind of drifted apart as we grew up. Ran in to some of them this summer and we all said "lets get together again". As of right now we´re only missing 2 of us the rest we tracked down, so we´re close to re-unite. Guess the music for that evening is pretty much obvious :)

The Tooth fairy

Jonte lost a tooth today so we put it in a glas of water over night for the tooth fairy to trade for money. Earlier this summer he lost another one while on vacation so we put that one in as well (The Tooth fairy havnt seen that one so its fair game). With interest Jonte figured he would get lots and lots of money. I told him not to get his hopes up since theres no shortage of teeth. Big misstake! Now he wants to know what the tooth fairy does with all the teeth. I dont have a clue so we had to put our heads together and we have some ideas of our own but would very much like to hear yours. A pain that still feels the same

What a night

Me and my friend Susanne har just had one fun night on the pub. We just went for the PopQuiz but ended up with so much more. It started out with Susannes face when she knocked on my door and I opened playing Cheap Trick - "I want you to love me" loud, hehe she looke like "what the hell are you playing, thats from when guys walked around in short short white jackets with big axlpads and black slim leather ties" She look so funny wich I had a photo of that face. At the pub we asked a couple sitting at a hightable in if it was ok if we hanged there, they answered "If you translate for us we´re from Germany" Susannes anwser was "Ooooooooooj" which is like "Oooooops" =) anyways we translated and talked with the nice German couple who for some reason found it a good idea to stop in Falkenberg on their way back to Frankfurt...

Susanne smokes and standing outside smoking did this evening attract a guy from Gothenburg who quit smoking 4 month ago. We didnt know this so I got a bit bothered by the fact that he had a unlit cigg in his hand pretending to smoke it.... scary. Anyways he had a problem, he had a girl chasing him this evening whom had got it in her head that he were from Wales, he tried to explane that he were from Sweden, he keep answering her in Swedish as she talked in English, that was hilarious. Its been kind of a slow and fun evening, I´ve not known Susanne for that long, shes a friend of a friend really but we share an interessed in music, today I found out that she´s really scared of driving over big bridges. Since I´m scared of driving thorugh tunnels we decided we should drive over/though the Öresundsbridge/tunnel together since its part bridge part tunnel =)

Laught my heart out

Tonight was just to damned funny in many ways. 2 friends of mine and me had some beer at my place before going to the pub. At the pub I met some friends I seldome see at the pub and boy had they had a bit too much to drink. They were very very funny which was kind of ok since I´ve had a bit to much to drink too =). I and the two friends of mine that had some beer at my place went to get some "I´m a bit too drunk and feel the need to eat some very unhealthy food"-food. All of the sudden a guy thought it was a great idea to join our table, we didnt share that idea at all so I figured that pretending to be from "pingstkyrkan" (religious stuff) would get rid of him.. but Nooo.. it took him almost half an hour to get the message.. we had VERY fun during this, think I almost died of laughter at one point. Poor guy.... He acctually thought we where from Jönköping and on a mission from God savouring people from hell. What can I say, I´m a bad bad bad person but Hey, I have fun. When he asked how we save people from hell and how we spread Gods word, my friend answered in a heart beat whitout blinking "We read out loud" I just lost it. He left when we clamed to cheer for HV71 (swedish poor excuse for a hockeyteam) but who can blame him I would have done the same...

Met an old friend

By chance I just ran in to an old and dear friend from when I was young. Have´nt seen Alex in over a year. As some of you know she moved to London a long long time ago. It was fun seeing her again and we had alot to talk about. She´s not staying long but hopefully we can find the time to meet over a coffe and tea. Seems like we´re planing to get the old "gang" from highschool together again. That´s going to be really fun, meeting the guys again.

Really good consert. One of the absolut best conserts I´ve been to. Its high high up among the top 10. I definetly going to try to see them again, they gave all they had to give and then some. It´s been a real fun evening at the pub but thank God we dont have a night open tatoo parlor in town! We decided we should get a tatoo. The idea we had after a couple of beers is not something I will stand for when I´m sober, hell it´s not something I would have done drunk either come to think of it.

Thunder building up

I love this view, 180m above sea level and a sorry excuse for a road that´s got a 36 degree rake at the steepest part. All that doesnt matter it´s a very happy place filed with positive people and talking to them always gives me peace of mind. This weekend I´ve laughed my heart out, it´s been a great 100 year birthday party.

Still it rains

Not much of a summer regarding the weather right now. Sitting in my window drinking tea. Today I've been at the Sigvard Bernadotte exhibition. Wow did he design a lot of things I had no idea was his design. Among the things that surpriced me the most was that he designed the glas for SAS they still use those today and they are really cool and looks like they are designed today but the design is from late 60. Volvo used the pattern Virrvarr in Volvo XC70 - 2007, nice touch that design is from the early 60s, talk about making timeless designes.

Well that and meeting friends at the coffeeshop is what Ive done this rainy day, not much to do. Tonight Rydell and Quick are playing, dont know where but a friend wants me to go with her and her friends, Rydell and Quick are pretty much all about Harley Davidson and rock'n roll. Never seen them wich a friend thought was really funny, so I guess I kind of have to go tonight =)

Galtagöstas

It´s been an eventfull evening with some friends listening to Galtagöstas which is old rock n roll. It´s been laughs and tears tonight. Let´s see I got half a beer over me (quess if my friends laught at that...) One friend is drunk and floating around pinching guys asses (Take a guess who gets the blame for that...) I´m taking it easy tonight which means I´ve got some great stories about tonight that just makes you laugh. My drunk friend is really really really funny, I cant believe the stuff she pulled off tonight.

Never according to plans

This is one of the weirdest first week of any of my vacations, I´ve been at work Tuesday, Wednesday, today and will be tomorrow. It´s only been a couple of hours every day but still... Not really what I had in mind for my first week. I´ve promised myself not to repeat this week the following weeks of vacation, I´ll let you know how that works out

Oh and by the way today I went back to exercise. Being back on the exercise bike was though, it´s been almost a year since the last time and believe you me I got to hear it and then some. My instructor, Göran, was on my case the whole time being mean and laughing. (So did Carita, I´m rethinking making friends with her!) Nah it was fun to be back, lots of laugh. Göran quite happily told me "Issan not much has changed, it´s the same thing really except your condition which is worse... hahahaha"

First week of my vocation and so far Ive been at work two days, together we´re talking about almost 6 hours. Tomorrow I´ll go in befor lunch and work for about 4 hours until lunch then I´m gone for almost 3 weeks. Issan is no more! Yiiiiiha!

KT Tunstall at Live Earth

I totally missed this when it aired but now I´m watching it. In the late eightis when they aired the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute I was completly blown away by Tracy Chapman, she just went out alone on that stage with her acoustic guitar and kicked ass. KT Tunstall doesnt reach up to that level in my book but she´s not far from but she rock´s more.

Loser warning

Evidently I fell asleep infront of my computer tonight, a friend just called and woke me... Think I´ve slept for over an hour and I´ve been online the whole time an no messages. According to my friend its huge huge Loser warning on that, being online for over an hour and no friends to talk to... but I dont care its summer and I spent half the day at the beach just laying in the sun, so I´m a happy loser =)
