For Those I Loved - Martin Gray
Ok, I´ve gotten some questions from nearby friends about one of my favorite books - For Those I Loved - Martin Gray, soo incase more of you out there are wondering about the book heres some info:
The book is the true story of one mans life - Martin Gray´s. The book describes Martin and his family trying to survive the second world war and his incredible ways of finding ways to do just that, survive, not just the war itself but also imprisoning, Treblinka, his excape. The book then describes his ambition and attempts to build a new life.
But what I like the most is that the book is proof of what a person is able to endure and still not give up. I´ve read the book several times and it always leaves me in tears, it´s a cruel story that describe the human natur, that we are capable of doing things that are so inhuman that it´s hard to even think about. And that we in order to survive those inhumanities have to do things that makes it hard to live with ourself later on in life. It´s a dark book but it also describes hope, will power and love.
And if I look at my life after reading the book it tells me that I have absolutely nothing to complain about!

My creditcard, driverslicense and passport
Ok, so first I loose my creditcard Friday night and had to call my bank to block my creditcard.. no worries there just have to get a new one I´m thinking still happy.
The next day I asked the reception at the hotel if someone had left them a creditcard and sure thing they had... mine! Doesnt help me much though since its blocked but at least I know no one else has it. This is when I notice that I dont have my driverslicense anymore.... Just cant belive this, had it 1 hour before. Still happy though, can get a new one.
Until I get a new creditcard I can go to the bank to get money... just have to use my passport as identification since I lost my driverslicens... theres only one tiny tiny problem with that, I HAVE TO FIND THE DAMN PASSPORT FIRST!! Now I´m getting a bit unhappy with myself... sigh, I really have to learn to keep my things in order!!! Until then I guess I have to do the dishes or something tonight at the restaurant I´m eating at...
In short: Got a creditcard I cant use, no driverslicens and cant find my passport. Soooo, I cant buy anything, cant get money at the bank and cant go anywhere.. theres just got to be humour in this somewhere so I´m laughing at the whole thing. At least I´m without means to get into trouble I guess ;)

Hockey War part II
The war continues!
Today after lunch I got a splitting headache, you know the kind that ache all the way down to your cheekbones, and I could´nt figure out why I got it. I meen there is usually a reason like stress, did´nt drink enough water and so on but there was nothing like that to "blame". But when I was about to go home from work I noticed that someone had taped a Modo logo on the back of my chair in line with my head! There´s the explanation for the headache!!!

The Baron Wolman Photo exhibition
If I could I would go to the Baron Wolman exhibition in London. Baron Wolman is a great photographer and it does´nt hurt much that his pitures is very much about rock now does it :)
One of my personal favorites is the photo of Frank Zappa on the bulldozer with the "don´t mess with me" look on his face, another one is the photo of Jim Morrison clinging to the mic.
And just imagine how many photos Baron Wolman have that´s never been published, bet there´s a lot of nice nice photos there, what a legacy! Wish I could see them all.

John Mayer - Continuum
Heres some music I think you should check out. It´s not rock, I do listen to more then rock n roll :) . I first heard "Waiting on the world to change" and thought it sounded great. I recomend you to buy the whole record though because theres more and better songs then "Waiting on the world to change"

Today
I should have spent last night at home getting better from my cold. Honestly thats what I had decided until I talked to one of my friends and she mentioned the words fun, pub, dinner, fun, beer, fun fun fun in one sentence. Who am I to argue with that? One beer, just one beer I told myself... yeah, right!
The people I was partying with last night works as cooks, bartenders, waitresses and when they party THEY PARTY! There´s no such thing as ONE beer. I´m the amateur so it´s very educational for me. I get to try drinks I didnt even know existed and I get some inside information like what drinks a bartender dont want you to order, some drinks are evidently NOT fun to make... thats good to know :)
Dinner, drinks, beer and more drinks... 5 girls having fun talking about everything and nothing, thats when you get to hear stuff you really want to know but also stuff you´re really not sure you want to hear or know. Its kind of surrealistic, the alcoholinfluenced deep girltalk. (Guys you dont want to know belive me, your better of not knowing) It´s kind of fun though.
So today I woke up with a headache, a cold thats worse, and information I really dont want to have or know. That´s when my rational Me tells me that I should have stayed home, in bed to cure my cold... but then again how fun would that be!

The world´s fastest Indian
This is the movie for the evening. It exceeded my expectations so I can honestly recommend it. He has a way of meeting life that is unbeatable and that really inspire me to meet my life as he meets his. The movie is light-hearted yet it´s serious too. But it left me feeling kind of happy which is a big plus.
In short - Just watch the movie... even if you dont care much about bikes!

Cat u-turn
The cat did a u turn on my shoulder! Lol crazy cat. (It's late hence the headphones. My neighbours dont appreciate my music) And YES it´s a cat, some fancy kind without a nose....
