Want to know?

It can be irritating, frustrating and aggrevating to get a song in your head and not being able to figure out what song it is. Luckily someone has thought of that and found a solution. I havent tried it so I dont know if it really works.

Someone else

I wish I could crawl inside my head and rewire my brain. Why hasnt anyone invented that function? Or at least the possibility to reboot once in a while. I think I would like that. Or maybe I could just get some sleep, that I would really like. Im tired of being tired of being tired of being tired and then more "tired" but Im to worne-out to write tired again :)

Pablo Picasso Quote 31/1 2007

"Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot, others transform a yellow spot into the sun."

S & M: Metallica with Michael Kamen Conducting the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra

This DVD is one of the best I´ve ever seen. I saw part of it a few years ago when they aired part of the consert on TV. Bought the DVD today and just finished it, I strongely recommend it. Its great!

Pablo Picasso Quotes 30/1 2007

I´ve desided to post a quote from Pablo Picasso once a day for no other reason than that he has said the best things through out history and its worth repeating

"An idea is a point of departure and no more. As soon as you elaborate it, it becomes transformed by thought."

No poems

Friend of mine said "what.. no poems" and laught when he saw my blog... never occured to me that you were supposed to blog poems... Im not much for poetry I guess, but heres one I learned in school.

He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven
(William Butler Yeats)
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

Naked emotions

Havent listen much to Crowded House but this song really got to me. I bought it yesterday and I have listend to it over and over again. The lyrics is to me so utterly completly pure naked emotions which makes it linger with me after Ive heard it. Immediately I want to listen to it again.

Its hard walking on your knees

Sometimes life dont give you a choice and you end up walking on your knees whether you want to or not. Good thing its hard because that makes it impossible to keep it up for to long which means that you´ll end up on your feet pretty soon.

Sting and Bruce Springsteen

Sting is one of my absolut favorit musicians ( good looking to ;) ) This is from a consert in Buenos Aires (sorry forgot what year) and the whole consert is great, it aired on TV so there should be a video or DVD somewhere I guess.. But what a voice Sting has, its a good song and I think he does it better than Bruce himself... wonder what its like to stand beside someone doing your song better than you do your self :).

Best songs Sting ever done is without a doubt Moon Over Bourbon Street and Fragile

For myself again

30 swedish kronor for this treasure.. Its worth so much more than that to me. I almost felt guilty for buying it, but he insisted on 30 so...

From last nights party

Someone obviously have electrical shoes... Must be very limited walks.. unless you have a loooong long cord...

In the car going home

New rule

Walking home from the pub I see a person crossing the street over to my side (this is when Im rethinking my decision to walk home) no worries though its a woman wanting to borrow my cellphone since she looked herself out. Its 03.30 its cold so of course she, who ever she is, can borrow my phone, she calls her boyfriend asks him to come and let her in and then we walk our seperat ways again. 5 min later I get a call from said boyfriend whom is yelling like hell at ME be course the door had been unlooked the whole time....?!?! this is total strangers to me, I did one of them a favor and ends up beeing totally yelled at.

This is where I wonder why I always get yelled at or blamed for things I didnt do... My new rule is "dont talk to me if you´re going to blame me for something I didnt do, I dont want to hear it anymore". Thats the new rule and if you dont like it dont tell me I dont want to hear it, Im to tired

Gimlet for the weekend

Friday again! This weekend I recommend following drink (for those of you that dont like gin, I promise it doesnt taste much like gin if you mix as you should, see below)

Gimlet
Sötsur drink.
6 cl gin
4 cl limejuice (söt typ rosies)
Skaka med is. Servera i whiskaeyglas med krossad is och garnera med limeskiva.

Gimlet
Sweetsour drink.
6 cl gin
4 cl limejuice (sweet rosies)
Shake with ice. Serve in a whiskeyglas with crushed ice and garnish with a slice of lime

Warning, its real good but you dont taste the alcohol much so its easy to have one to many.. just so you know. You´ve been warned dont blame me if things get out of hand ;)

And with that you should listen to John Mayer - Continuum ´cause its among the best record I´ve heard in a while and it´s real layback. On second thought thats for Friday, a bit more lively music for Saturday maybe :) but if you´re with someone you love you just have to put the song Slow Dancing In A Burning Room on(its on Continuum) and just slow dance the night away.. not without your Gimlet ofcourse ;)

Victor Borge

He made me laught as a child and this still makes me laugh. Couldnt find a better clip of it then this. This is what he calls Inflationary Language. As you do with economics he increeses the value of numbers but in word. For example "No one" becomes "No two".

He really was a great classical pianist and often combined his comedy with his pianoplaying.

Monkey buisness

The Sea Monkeys is a bit of a problem it seems. Internet may not be bound by contries borders but shipping Sea Monkeys sure is. But rest asure I will get my monkeys one way or another.... as if you care :)

Sea Monkyes

They exist! Stefan talked about them at a party and we didnt believe him, there will be no end to hearing this when I tell him I´ve found sea monkeys. Honestly would you believe someone at a party saying "you get them in powder and when you add water youll get live and kicking Sea Monkeys, they live in water"...

Anyway Im going to buy some for myself just because I think they are kind of funny (and weird) and ofcause I just have to buy some for Stefan, havnt decided what kind of tank I want though. Its a big decision... ;)

You can get your own right here:

The Man Who Sold The World

This is one of my most favorite David Bowie songs and this cover by Nirvana is among one of the best covers I´ve heard (I like Cobains voice)

A friend of mine once asked what it is about this song that I like so much. With some songs you can point at the lyrics, voice of the singer, a specific riff, drums etc. I can honestly not point out one specific thing, its the whole song. Being a Bowie songs the lyrics, at first glance is incoherent and weird but as with many of his lyrics there´s depth and meaning in it. You just have to take the time to really listen to it.

Anyway this song is one of my obsessions and I´m gathering all the covers I can of it. It´s kind of fun compairing them, especially since Bowie himself made a couple of different live versions of it

On my way

The sky looked great today. Photo doesnt do it justice. Days like this I feel there is more to life than what we can see, that there is something else present. Its a good feeling of inner peace. Nature can be real beautiful and powerful.

Shortleged Daniel

Stoped by my mothers today and was greated with this sight...

B ilie Jean - cover

yeah yeah I know its Chris Cornell agina, but this is just too good not to blogg. The best cover ever of Billie Jean. Got the tip from someone anonymous commenting previously Chris Cornell posts. Thanks again for the tip who ever you are, its among the best Ive heard. Totaly love it.

The best comment ever

Evening full of fun. Started out with dinner at my grandfather and ended with a visit at the pub Harrys with my friends (and for some reason people started ordering bottles of champain..!?!? I asked if someone was to be married but no, it was just an idea someone had... weird and not that good, not much for champain)

At my grandfathers I think I got the laugh of my life and I will remeber this for the rest of my life. I asked my grandfather if he thought I should buy a motorcycle (his opinon is very important to me, with his support I could do anything) and he asked if it was expensive. I said yes it is but its worth it. He then asked what kind of a bike and I said a Harley. Without a blink he said Yes if you really want it buy it you only live once, then he added I will die soon Ive lived my life I know. I told him to wait with the dying at least until he as seen my Harley. Then he thought for a while looked at me and whit a serious face said " then you and I will drive with it to Hultsfredsfestival" It took me half a minut to register what he said and when I realised he was laughing his heart out.. guess I looked kind of funny not getting what he was saying. I dont think I´ve ever laught like that before, the thought of me arriving at a rockfestival on a Harley with my grandfather (who is 78) on the bike. He´s so cool. only he could say something like that hes so full of bs and funny. I said ofcause we will but not to Hultsfred to Sweden Rock. His comment then was that he most certenly would get a heartattack and die... thats my grandfather.. the best there is.

Chris Cornell - Audioslave again...

Sorry couldnt help myself, this is just so great!

Chris Cornell - Audioslave

Chris Cornell has ofcause gotten alot of attention since beeing picked to sing the Bond theme in Casino Royal. I havnt seen the move but heard the song. I havent listen much to either Soundgarden or Audioslave before but what a voice he has, this song is one of my favorites and when he does it by himself with only a acustic guitarr it´s great. So much great songs that I cant meantion it all here, you just have to get it yourself :) Recomend Show me how to live (Audioslave) and Steel Rain (Chris Cornell) though
